Last week, the IAM3DHUB — operated and managed by Leitat —, took part in the “3D Printing in Hospitals Forum” organized by our valued partner, Materialise.
For two days, our representatives, David Adrover and Xavier Tutó, were immersed in “3D Printing in Hospitals Forum“, an environment full of innovation, collaboration, and inspiration, organizaed by Materialise. We witnessed firsthand how hospitals are already transforming patient care through real clinical cases – from orthopedics and cranio-maxillofacial surgery to traumatology, thoracic, and even cardiac applications – with many 3D printing technologies. These weren’t just applications; they were stories of lives improved and challenges overcome thanks to the power of Additive Manufacturing.
Beyond the clinical impact, the forum also offered a deep dive into how hospitals are setting up, growing, and scaling their in-house 3D printing labs. Whether just starting out or looking to go further, the sessions offered valuable lessons, best practices, and a shared sense of mission: to bring more personalized, precise, and effective care to patients enabled thanks to Digital and Additive Manufacturing technologies.
This event is a great opportunity not only to learn, but also to connect, exchange best practices and success stories, and get inspired by what the broader hospital community is creating and advancing.
That’s why we always encourage the participation in the event of our hospitals network, and specially those we already work closely with, like Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Hospital Clínic Barcelona… actively supporting them on their journey to scale adoption of Additive Manufacturing through tailored mentoring, technical projects, and applications development, funded by projects like DIM3D – Innovation in Personalized Medical Devices or Catalonia Digital Innovation Hub (DIH4CAT), in which we take part through Leitat, and also with the invaluable cooperation of our partners at IAM3DHUB, like Materialise.
A heartfelt thank you, and massive congratulations to the entire Materialise team for organizing such an excellent and meaningful event every year. We truly look forward to continuing our cooperation working hand in hand to support hospitals on their journey toward more advanced, personalized healthcare through the power of additive manufacturing.
